Training & Education Videos
Training videos can not only be used to educate your staff and employees, but can also act as a tool to demonstrate your production process to your client allowing them to understand exactly where their investment is going. Training videos can also be used on a health and safety level to educate not only your staff but also visitors to your site.
Polestar Group UK Ltd.
Six documentaries detailing the six main print processes.
Polestar asked Surrect Media to provide the supporting videos for their innovative Print Dynamics training initiative. The process required Surrect to travel to six print sites around the country to film the major print processes involved in the Polestar work flow. The videos were filmed with two cameras and edited down to a final 20 min video which was in turn cut down into small "flow chart" videos.

SunChemical
Documentary following the creation of ink for the print industry.
In collaboration with Polestar’s print Dynamics initiative, SunChemical asked Surrect to document the process of ink creation for the print industry. The resulting 20 minute video was then integrated into a CD-ROM that supplied a full detailed breakdown of the process.
Clients Testimonal:
"I have just received the batch of Ink Dynamics CDs, and am very pleased with the result. These will be distributed internally in the next week or two and externally after the launch of Print Dynamics. I have to say it has been rereshing working with yourself and your colleagues. Everything we discussed, however rudimentary an idea has been taken and converted by Real Design Studios into something slick and professional and about which we can be proud - always on time and within budget. We are reaching the end of our part of this project, but I will have no hesitation in passing your name to colleagues and associates who may have their own projects to carry out."

Polestar & SCA Papers - Carbon Initiative
In continuation of our relationship with the Polestar Group Ltd we were recently bundled into a car at a previously undiscovered hour and sent to Heathrow's terminal 5.
Polestar has joined up with SCA paper to raise carbon emission awareness within the print industry. After a week running around Sundsvall, Sweden with cameras we have returned home to the equally exotic Hull to begin the editing process.
The resulting video will be a four minute time laps of the print process beginning with the seeding of trees all the way through to the resulting magazine being recycled. Have a look at the finished piece below.
Some of the Comments:
"We are aware that many of the larger organisations in the industry have of course already started looking at the issue of their carbon footprint, in line with forthcoming Government legislation. However, what we are providing through our system is the means of gaining the complete picture – from the paper mill to the retailer. It is in its infancy in terms of data, and we are extremely grateful to the Carbon Trust and SCA Paper for helping in this respect. It will grow both in terms of information being added and as we respond to requests from our customers."

In furtherance of our 3D visualisations work for WACO UK Ltd we were commissioned to produce a short video showing the continuous improvements made within their production process. The video features workflow implementation derived from suggestions provided by the company’s line workers.

"Having worked with REAL DESIGN (AKA Surrect Media) for several years now, I feel that we have built an exceptional working relationship. We have worked on Polestar’s largest training resource over the last two years, and the results have been phenomenal. The team are friendly and professional and have the ability to produce the work required at an excellent price. The work produced is of the highest quality and always arrives on time. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who requires quality design work.”
